Engineering Intern


George Zimbru received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. George has held internships at MultiCAM LP, where he helped with the design and fabrication of router, laser, and waterjet CNC machines. He has also worked at Vought Aircraft were he held 2 positions. As a Numerical Controls Intern on the 787 program, George was responsible for building parts of composite material from provided models. Later as an Automation and Inspection Support Intern on the 747-10 program, he helped meet specifications set forth by Quality Control.

Currently, George is working on a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering at UT Arlington. His research field is in High Force, High Displacement Electromagnetic MEMS-scale Actuators, MEMS micromachining, and using MEMS devices to steer aerodynamic vehicles.
