Henry Vinson currently works for Cross Timbers Procurement Center at the University of Texas at Arlington, assisted by a grant from the Hispanic Contractor's Association of Dallas Fort Worth. His duties include Procurement conferences, Seminar presentations, and client counseling. He also teaches government contracting for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Henry was president of Henry Vinson, Inc. for 10 years. His company provided full government contracting service to small and medium businesses. He has several years of U.S. Government Contracting experience in supplies, services, and construction. He possessed an unlimited Contracting Officer’s Warrant with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES). He served as Chief of the Construction & Equipment Division that was responsible for all major construction and major equipment acquisition worldwide. This division purchased over $500,000,000 annually.
Henry retired from the Department of Defense after over 31 years. He also has 18 years cumulative retail experience in the management of large retail shopping centers for military forces. He has attended the Masters Institute of Government Contracting, Texas A&M University, George Washington University (The National Law Center), The University of Wisconsin, Indiana University, Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska, and Cedar Valley College in Lancaster, Texas.
